Minion Nails

Hi guys! Yesterday a friend of mine was having a minion party for her little girl, and since I was attending I decided to paint my nails to match the theme. Here's how they turned out!

For this mani I used three of Sally Hansen's polishes. I used "Butterfly Stroke" for the base of the minions, "Platinum Star" as the base of the goggles, and "White On" for the eye. Then I used Orly's "Liquid Vinyl" for the pupil, mouth, and goggle straps. What do you think? Follow me on Instagram, my username is Poshpolishnailblog. Wizard of Oz Nails

Hi guys! For this nail design I was inspired to do my favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz! I absolutely love this movie so I thought why not! Here is how it turned out.

As you can see I did designs on three fingers, and the other two fingers I painted red. For my thumb and pinky finger I used Elf's "Red-y or Not" to show ruby slippers. For my index finger I used Pure Ice's "Iced copper" and Sally Hansen's "Butterfly Stroke" to create the yellow brick road. On my middle finger I used Sally Hansen's " White On" and "Barracuda" to mimic Dorothy's dress. And on my ring finger I used Sally Hansen's "Platinum Star" and "Kook-a-Mango" to create the tin man and his heart.

What do you think? Show me your movie inspired mani's by tagging them #Poshpolishblog on instagram!

Toy Story Nails

For my manicure I wanted to create a look from the classic kid movie, Toy Story! I decided on painting one of the little squeeze toy aliens on my ring finger, and blue tips on the rest. Here is how it turned out.

I used Sally Hansen's "Barracuda", Orly's "Liquid Vinyl", and the Green and White from Kiss's paint and stencil kit.

Hearts and Dots

A dotting tool is a nail artists best friend. You can use it to make the obvious, dots, but you can also use it to make other designs. Today I used my dotting tool to create a look with two designs. Here is a picture of my Mani.

For this design I used Sally Hansen's "Knockout Pink" and Orly's "Liquid Vinyl". After my base color had dried, I used my dotting tool to make a line of dots on three fingers, and then used it to make hearts of the remaining fingers.

What do you think? Is it something you will try? If you do, tag it #Poshpolishblog on Instagram so I can see!
